As part of the Cert II Sport and Recreation Course, students are required to update and maintain their knowledge of industry sectors. This tour of the West Coast Eagles Facilites gives students the opportunity to experience and gain an understanding of the game day requirements and behind the scenes running of a professional sporting organisation.

Women in trades Expo - students explore opportunities in industries like: automotive, building & construction, engineering, mining, clean energy and the defence industry. At  Thornlie TAFE.

Students are attending an event at UWA to learn about STEM careers & hear from organisations including ADF Careers, Wisetech Global, Bankwest, Australian Signals Directorate, Microsoft, Google.

Year 11 Students have been completing mapping and orienteering tasks throughout Term 2. As part of their course it is recommended that they extend these skills in a controlled external environment. Manning Park offers a WA Orienteering Course that are suitable for school excursions and has been chosen as the locations for this event.

Selected instrumental music students will have the opportunity to watch a live performance by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, who will be performing an educational program based on music by film composer Joe Hisaishi. The program will delve into how music is an integral component in film and it's use in aiding storytelling.

This evening will be an opportunity for us to: * introduce parents to Thornlie Senior High School * showcase our facilities and programs * provide valuable information about the transition from primary to secondary school * meet key school personnel * answer any queries or questions you may have   Students are welcome to attend.
