• Yr 9 Work Inspirations: Kinetic IT 2026

    The Work Inspiration events give school students the opportunity to visit the workplace of one of The Smith Family’s partner organisations for two to three days. Kinetic IT is one such partner organisation About Kinetic IT and The Smith Family partnership In 2021, Kinetic IT entered into a five-year partnership with The Smith Family. With a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, Kinetic IT sees its partnership with The Smith Family as a real opportunity to equip young people with the capabilities to enter the IT industry.

  • SSWA Junior Volleyball Competition

    Students from Years 7-9 are participating in a School Sport Volleyball event at Warwick Stadium against various schools from the South East corridor. Students have been training throughout the year, and this allows them to showcase their skills against other schools in a friendly competition as well as representing the school, in an Interschool Competition.

  • Career Taster Program: Mechanical: Maddington Toyota

    As part of the Y9 Career Taster Program, students have the opportunity to visit various workplaces to experience the working environment. This involves observing and speaking with work professionals and find out pathways for possible future training or employment. This Career Taster involves a visit to Maddington Toyota for students to experience a normal working day in this larger company and to find out what future pathways will be on offer for work in the automotive industry.

  • West Coast Eagles Facility Tour – Eagles Insight

    As part of the Cert II Sport and Recreation Course, students are required to update and maintain their knowledge of industry sectors. This tour of the West Coast Eagles Facilites gives students the opportunity to experience and gain an understanding of the game day requirements and behind the scenes running of a professional sporting organisation.

  • Women in Trades Career Expo 2026

    Women in trades Expo - students explore opportunities in industries like: automotive, building & construction, engineering, mining, clean energy and the defence industry. At  Thornlie TAFE.
