Kinetic IT is one such partner organisation About Kinetic IT and The Smith Family partnership In 2021, Kinetic IT entered into a five-year partnership with The Smith Family. With a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, Kinetic IT sees its partnership with The Smith Family as a real opportunity to equip young people with the capabilities to enter the IT industry. |

Students have been training throughout the year, and this allows them to showcase their skills against other schools in a friendly competition as well as representing the school, in an Interschool Competition. |

This involves observing and speaking with work professionals and find out pathways for possible future training or employment. This Career Taster involves a visit to Maddington Toyota for students to experience a normal working day in this larger company and to find out what future pathways will be on offer for work in the automotive industry. |

Year 11 Students have been completing mapping and orienteering tasks throughout Term 2. As part of their course it is recommended that they extend these skills in a controlled external environment. Manning Park offers a WA Orienteering Course that are suitable for school excursions and has been chosen as the locations for this event. |

Selected instrumental music students will have the opportunity to watch a live performance by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, who will be performing an educational program based on music by film composer Joe Hisaishi. The program will delve into how music is an integral component in film and it's use in aiding storytelling. |

This excursion is designed for the students to interact with a community organisation (Armadale-Gosnells Landcare) to contribute to the local amenity and improve environmental conditions. Students will be planting trees/shrubs in a local parkland area. By participating students will gain evidence for the Big Picture Social Action goal. It is a combined Advisory activity so students will work co-operatively with Year 11 and 12 students as well as students from another Big Picture school. |
